About Milk & Moon

Katy Lockey, the founder, designer, and creative force behind Milk & Moon, discovered her love for enamel pins while scrolling through Instagram during the bedtime breastfeeds of her youngest child in 2016. With a Master's degree in Fine Art, she designed a pin for a fundraising event for the breastfeeding group she volunteered at and launched Milk & Moon soon after.

Inspired by her work in supporting women in her community through facilitating circles of women, Katy sought to create gifts that would promote a sense of unity among women. Drawing on her background in Fine Art, she combines powerful graphic design with gentle symbolism to craft apparel and accessories that celebrate sisterhood, self-worth, and a radical spirit, all imbued with her unique style and wit.

Over time, Katy has expanded her product line to include jewelry, t-shirts, homeware, and art prints, in addition to her signature enamel pins. Each item carries a message of empowerment, and serves to promote a sense of identity and belonging among thoughtful feminists.

Katy has been featured on the Indie Roller Podcast, where she shares more about her journey with Milk & Moon.

She resides in Folkestone, Kent, a cultural seaside paradise, where she founded the Folkestone Women's Forum and co-founded the Daughters of Industry
